| To search Anixter.com you can use the following search techniques to limit or expand your search:
Phrase Searches
Search for complete phrases by enclosing them in quotation marks. Words enclosed in double quotes ("like this") will appear together in all results exactly as you have entered them.
The AND operator
To limit your search to pages that include both word A and word B, use the AND operator. For example, to search for pages that contain both the word "test" and the word "levels," just type:
The OR operator
To extend your search to pages that include either word A or word B, use the OR operator. For example, to search for pages that contain either the word "test" or the word "levels," just type: test OR levels
The NOT operator
To limit your search to pages that do not contain a specific word, use the NOT operator. For example, to search for pages that do not contain the word test, just type: NOT test
Combining operators
You can combine operators to further enhance your search. For example, to search for word A but not word B, just type A AND NOT B.
Disallowed characters and words
There are some characters that cannot be used in the search query. They are: @, #, $, %, ^, &, *, (, ), {, }, [, ] , field, near, contains.
